APPLING APPLAUSE AUDITIONS

Auditions for the 25-26 Appling Applause will be Thursday, May 8th from 3-6pm at the ACHS Chorus Room in the FAC.  Any upcoming high school student is eligible to audition.  Students must prepare one verse and one chorus of a song of their choice preferably with a karaoke track.  Interested students should sign up by Monday, May 5th by using the link below. 

ACHS CHORUS CLASS

Students interested in being a part of the ACHS Chorus Class for the 25-26 year need to sign up using the link below.  The chorus class is a Fine Arts Pathway class at ACHS.  Students that complete three semesters will finish a pathway.  Students that complete four semesters of chorus are eligible for a chorus letter jacket. THERE IS NO AUDITION FOR THE CHORUS CLASS!  The chorus class is a time to explore singing with a group.  Students do not have to sing by themselves unless they choose to. Use the link below or talk with Mrs Davis or Mr Tomberlin by April 24th so Mrs Davis can get your schedule changed to be a part of the chorus class.

ACHS MUSIC TECH (AUDIO RECORDING) CLASS

 Music Tech is an elective class at ACHS and is part of the Fine Arts Pathway.   This class will teach students to make audio recordings, write their own songs and beats, write their own video game music and movie music.  There are three levels to this class. The introductory level teaches students how to use basic recording techniques.  The next two levels will use the actual software used in recording studios worldwide. Students will also learn the basics of how to play either guitar, bass guitar, drums or piano.  Any upcoming ACHS student grades 9-12 is eligible for the class. 
Students should use the QR code on Music Tech  posters at school or the link below to sign up for the class or see Mrs Davis or Mr Tomberlin by April 24th.

ALADDIN JR MUSICAL

Disney’s Aladdin JR. is playing at the ACHS Fine Arts Center Thursday, November 14th at 6:30pm and Saturday, October 16th at 6:30pm. The spectacular 60-minute musical, designed for young performers, is based on the 1992 Disney film and the 2014 Broadway adaptation. The Appling County High School cast includes 65 students led by Karen Davis. Props and sets by Shona Pate of Studio49 Designs, Loretta Lasky, Martha Eason, David Cole, Kevin Harrison, Evan Creamer and the ACHS Welding & Woodworking Classes.  Lighting and Special Effects by Robert Sharpe and Sound and Lighting by Greg Hanson. 
For tickets click the button below to purchase online or call 912-367-8610 Ext 426 for reservations.  There will only be 300 tickets available for each night, it will be first come, first serve. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
